Site specific activity/ performance, 2012
Activity in a group exhibition (Tomma Rum) in Kil 2012. The visitors was given the chance to approach the exhibition and it’s art works through the method of orienteering. The experiment had it’s starting point in thoughts of how the art world, from the outside, can seem like a closed club with weird rules and attributes. A lot of people would say the same thing about the sport orienteering and the almost ritual activities surrounding it. With experience from both of theese worlds, I mixed them up and let them enrich eachother. It gave entrances to the worlds in new ways -the demystification when approaching the art while doing something active or by being part of orienteering whilst doing something familiar.
Accompanying the public activity, there was a performance taking place -where a group of artists raced through the exhibition, trying to finish first.
